CASHMERE CARE

If you are a true cashmere collector, you'd know that no matter how luxurious the cashmere product is, it is natural for them to pill.

Pills appear when groups of short or broken fibers tangle together in a tiny knot or ball - a pill. These can form from rubbing, abrasion, or just during day to day use.

It's super easy to remove them. Remove the pills through a cashmere comb or a wool shaver.

Did you know that you don't need too often than we think? Cashmere being a breathable and insulating fiber, you should only dry clean them or hand wash only after a couple of wears. Air dry them overnight by hanging them on a hanger and letting them breathe.

When you choose to wash your cashmere goodies, opt for hand-washing, one of the simplest ways to minimize environmental impact. Although, to those who are nervous, we recommend dry cleaning. If you choose to hand-wash, here is what we recommend:

  • Fill a basin with lukewarm water with a small amount of gentle Woolite or baby shampoo.
  • Submerge your cashmere and gently swirl for 1 min. Then, let it soak for 5 min. Press your cashmere knitwear gently to let out excess water, and be careful not to twist or stretch.
  • Lay the sweater flat on a thick, dry towel. Roll the towel up like a yoga mat, pressing as you go.
  • Unroll and lay flat in its natural shape to air dry. Never use a dryer! If any wrinkles remain after drying, use a steamer or iron to remove them.

As part of our sustainability efforts, we package all our products in reusable storage bags made with organza. These environmentally conscious bags have been designed with multi-purpose in mind, featuring a luxurious soft-touch to help prevent wrinkles and breathable vents keep your cashmere fresh.

We don't recommend hanging your cashmere knitwear and knitted accessories as they grow and loose shape when hung. Fold your cashmere and store it in our organza bags. Add some dry lavender in the bags to prevent moths and small insects from snacking on your favorite sweater! Toss a cedar ball in for extra freshness.
